Steffy Forrester from The Bold and the Beautiful really wants to hurt Hope Logan. He wants to close his clothing brand called ‘Hope for the Future’ forever. But Carter Walton has now made a very passionate attempt to keep his clothing line alive.
In a recent interview with TV Water Cooler, Jacqueline MacInnes Wood (who plays Steffy) said her B&B character’s reaction to Carter and Hope’s new romance will be “explosive.”
Steffy is looking for any excuse she can find to halt production of Hope’s series. After a drunken kiss with Hope’s husband, Finn, Steffy wants closure more than ever. Can you blame him?
Hope for the Future struggles with the departure and disappearance of Thomas Forrester. There currently appears to be no sign of Matthew Atkinson returning to The Bold and the Beautiful. It’s bad news for Hope that Thomas isn’t the designer.
And Brooke knows Steffy will stop at nothing to crush her daughter’s clothing line. Brooke even asked Finn to intervene, but Finn refused.
In the interview, Wood said: “Steffy’s goal is Hope, and it may be a little bit personal, but it’s also a business thing. The Hope for the Future series is underperforming.” This was also seen at a recent meeting at B&B about the line. At the meeting, everyone expected Steffy to cancel the meeting immediately. However, Steffy surprises everyone by giving Hope more time to improve the line’s performance.
The Bold and the Beautiful: Steffy Forrester Threatens to Shut Down Hope Logan’s Clothing Store, Carter Walton Defends It
After the meeting, Steffy cornered Hope. He threatened to cut off her lineage if she did not stay away from her husband.
Since then, Hope has been trying to get over Finn. And now she faces many distractions, like her romance with Carter Walton.
Carter made it clear that he wanted to date Hope. But now Liam has come crawling back and wants to get Hope back. Hope seems more interested in Carter. This might be good for her, mainly because she thinks he can be a one-woman man.
However, Steffy thinks Hope is trying to use Carter to help her failing streak. Steffy warned Hope not to use Carter to stop Hope for the Future from being shut down, and Hope agreed. Hope is relieved that Steffy doesn’t understand what they’re actually doing.
Carter now appeals to Steffy and Ridge. Not only does he want to maintain Hope for the Future, he also wants them to invest more in it. Just like they did in Brooke’s Bedroom. This paid off beautifully.
It’s interesting that Carter compares the two lines just as Ridge defends Brooke’s Bedroom due to their romantic connection. And now Carter defends Hope for the Future when he begins a romantic relationship with Hope.
B&B: Will Steffy Forrester Shut Down Hope for the Future and Spark Hope for Logan and Carter Walton?
Steffy Forrester continued to push Carter for solid sales numbers during the meeting about B&B. But he keeps shifting his focus to Hope, someone Forrester Creations can’t afford to lose.
Carter may persuade Forrester Creation executives to continue down the line and invest even more. But his persistence on Hope’s behalf raises questions about whether he’s distorting the predictions to make things look better than they are.
Jacqueline MacInnes Wood also said that Steffy doesn’t know about Carter and Hope’s relationship yet. But “it’s going to be pretty explosive when he finds out,” he said. He added that this “puts the Forrester name in jeopardy.” And he said it’s the name that matters to Steffy.
The results of The Bold and the Beautiful may be mixed this week. Steffy is able to shut down Hope’s line and then fire both Carter and Hope.
Ridge and Eric may have to confront Carter about his feelings for Hope. They need to see if this affects their business decisions. In the end, Brooke will probably defend Hope and Carter. He can expect Ridge to take his side and put him in a tough spot with Steffy.
The situation at B&B is getting complicated, and it’s expected to explode in the November sweepstakes, which are just nine episodes away.
