MANILA, Philippines – Kevin Quiambao said his newborn child will be an added inspiration when he represents Gilas Pilipinas again in the second window of the 2025 Fiba Asia Cup qualifiers.

“I am super blessed because I have the opportunity to represent my young country. Kaunting pahinga lang saglit, sabay back to work na. Take ko lang ito as an opportunity and a challenge,” said the incumbent UAAP MVP.

“Yung has home advantage, Natin. “I am blessed because I am blessed in Gilas, so I am taking this opportunity to do that and palalampasin Hindi,” he added.
Quiambao defeated La Salle by 15 points to complete the elimination round against the University of the Philippines, 77-66, and secure the No. 1 spot in the Final Four.

The versatile forward is grateful for La Salle’s support in his upcoming stint leading up to the Final Four.
“Credit Doon Si Coach Migs Aytona Yung Strength and Conditioning Coach Namin. Kung can not only be loaded, but also unloaded. Yung factor of recovery, Alam niya lahat. La Salle will complete its elimination round on Wednesday against fellow National University on Wednesday at the UST Quadricentennial Pavilion.
