Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) cheated on Belle Black (Martha Madison) and also fell for the booze bottle on Days of Our Lives. However, Belle offered to support him in his recovery. Instead, Shawn left her and chose a rehab facility near his family.
The death knell on the Days of Our Lives relationship came when Shawn shot Bo Brady (Peter Reckell) and spiraled out of control. This was to allow DOOL to chronicle these as part of the mass firings and backstage scandal.
Both actors returned to the show for Doug Williams’ (Bill Hayes) funeral, marking the beginning of their new contracts on the NBC Peacock soap opera. They are now both back on contract and their divorce is nearing completion. After Belle Black files the paperwork, she and Shawn Brady are officially done with the Days.
