Coby White made three free throws with 3.2 seconds left to cap a 22-point push, and the Chicago Bulls recovered after blowing a 22-point lead to beat the host New York Knicks on Wednesday 124-123 in the NBA.
After falling behind 90-68 late in the third quarter, New York closed the second game with a 17-0 run in back-to-back quarters, setting up an intense fourth quarter. There were ten lead changes in the final period, the last of which came via free throws by White after a hard foul against Josh Hart.

Jalen Brunson, who scored two go-ahead baskets under duress in the final 38 seconds, made room for a fadeaway jumper at the buzzer, but his attempt failed. Had the Knicks pulled off the comeback, it would have been the franchise’s biggest second-half rally since a 26-point turnaround in March 2004.

Zach LaVine led Chicago with 31 points and matched Brunson with a game-high eight assists. He also grabbed seven rebounds.
Karl-Anthony Towns scored 17 of his 46 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in the fourth quarter. Towns’ scoring output was a personal best since joining the Knicks in the offseason.

Brunson and Towns combined for 10 of New York’s final 12 points.
White, meanwhile, was the key player for Chicago. His 3-pointer, one of Ayo Dosunmu’s six assists in response to a Towns basket, gave the Bulls a four-point lead heading into the final two minutes.
