“There was almost no pressure when I said my coach wasn’t up to it,” said Robles, who also had eight criticisms. “It’s like I’m setting out to get up.”

Robles didn’t have a hard time adjusting to a larger role since she was familiar with coach Norman Miguel’s system when the former NU coach mentored her former teammates Jen Nierva and Joyme Cagande in the UAAP from 2019-2020.

“I am pleased with the success of coach Norman and his new coach. “Wala made the best decision when she was greeted by coach Norman, who named Jen and Joyme,” Robles said. “Young teammates chose Coach Norman, so we made it a lot of fun for Coach Norman.”

“It is important that the players name the players and name the coaches so that they can step up and take responsibility for the outside hitter position because they play a big role in their position,” Miguel said. “Nakita naman natin na nagstep up siya, ready, siya maging responsible, so position na yun.”

Chery Tiggo celebrates its first winning streak of the season against unbeaten leaders PLDT on Tuesday next week at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
