Playmaker Juami Tiongson and versatile forward Troy Rosario will embark on new career paths when the PBA Commissioner’s Cup begins this Wednesday.
Tiongson moved closer to realizing his championship ambitions after being sent to San Miguel Beer as part of a trade involving Terrafirma teammate Andreas Cahilig.

The Dyip welcome Terrence Romeo, who played for Far Eastern University around the same time Tiongson won four UAAP titles with Ateneo, and veteran Vic Manuel.
“There’s still a lot of work to do,” the 2021 Most Improved Player told the Inquirer shortly after the development, which was officially announced by the league midday Monday.
“I am happy and excited about my next journey,” added the clever playmaker, but not without thanking his old club for the seasons that enabled him to make his breakthrough in the league.

“I have to put the excitement aside and get to work. I want to help on any team possible,” Tiongson added.
As fans continued to process the trade that sent Romeo and Manuel to the league’s doormat in exchange for promising standout performances, they were treated to another surprise with Rosario’s inclusion in Barangay Ginebra’s lineup, which league officials announced to the press later in the day.
Rosario joins a Gin Kings squad that failed to capture the title at the last Commissioner’s Cup, despite undergoing a facelift by adding talent like No. 3 overall pick RJ Abarrientos and Stephen Holt Isaac Go signed in a trade.
A champion on TNT and formerly of Blackwater, Rosario will expand the pool of crowd favorites expected to recapture mercurial striker Jamie Malonzo in about six weeks. INQ
