Prince William has been urged to be cautious as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle prepare to regroup with the royal family.
For those not in the know, the Prince of Wales recently spoke about his plans for his future reign, revealing that his focus will be more on charitable projects.
Shortly after his huge statement, King Charles honored artists from the UK’s film and television community by holding a reception at Buckingham Palace. He was joined by his wife, Queen Camilla.
Furthermore, the Queen later made a solo appearance in the glitzy royal screening of the Hollywood blockbuster, The second wrestler.
Now, royal historian Dr Tessa Dunlop has raised concerns about the royal family’s absence from such events, hinting at the possibility of former royals returning to the firm.
In conversation with woman“He was up against gladiator men (taking on Paul Mescal and Pedro Pascal is no easy feat) but the King looked unavoidably lonely on the red carpet in Leicester Square last night. There was no old glitz, no tinsel, no tiaras.
“Even Camilla (who is still suffering from a serious chest infection), was missing. To compensate, I longed for the King to wear an ermine gown, or place a crown on his head. Instead, he dutifully worked his way down the line of star names.
While we remember the royal family’s grand appearance at the premiere of No Time to Die, where Queen Camilla and Kate Middleton walked the red carpet in their beautiful outfits.
Speaking about the absence of the royal family, Tessa said: “There is a void at the top and the problem with voids is that they invite all kinds of unwanted intruders.”
The royal expert praised William’s version of the royal family with a lowercase “r”, but warned the royal family to be careful.
She added: “The Royal Family may think they are above such attractive tricks. That would be a mistake. After all, the former royals are waiting in the wings, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.”
