MANILA, Philippines—Jordan Adams made San Miguel Beer’s job much easier in its conquest of Blackwater in Group B of the PBA Governors’ Cup.
With the Beermen facing an import-less Bossing squad, Adams made sure everybody in the squad had their fair share of shots and moments in their 128-108 win over Blackwater at Araneta Coliseum on Sunday.
“We have a great team so it’s a lot of guys to worry about with us and I was able to find my shots within the offense. It makes the job easier for me,” said Adams.

“Everybody can score and shoot in this team. When we’re playing unselfishly and playing good defense, that’s the path we want to be on.”
Adams registered a monster double-double with a high-scoring game to match with 50 points and 11 rebounds built on six buckets from three-point distance. The former Memphis Grizzly also snatched three steals on the defensive end.
In the Beermen’s conference-opening win over Phoenix on Wednesday, 111-107, reigning league MVP June Mar Fajardo had to turn in 37 points and 24 rebounds.

This time, though, Fajardo didn’t need to do much to get the 2-0 start for the Beermen with 13 points and 10 rebounds, thanks to Adams’ 50-piece outburst.
However, Adams said that his performance was just a testament to how anybody on the San Miguel Beer side can explode at any given night.
“I think every night could be somebody else’s night. We had a good week of practice and it just showed up.”
Up next for San Miguel is Ginebra on Tuesday for a sister-team clash at the same venue.
