The 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way cast member admits that she should have looked harder at what it takes to get into a midwifery program in Iceland. But she feels that she was blinded by love. Yet, now that she is in the country, she knows she needs to start figuring everything out.
Corona explains that being a nurse is very important to her. She feels that her resume can speak for itself. She went to a prestigious school, so she never thought that her degree would be challenged in any way. The TLC star knows she needs to figure things out sooner rather than later because she is making a “humongous gamble” with her life.
Corona’s Lack of Icelandic Language Puts Plan in Danger
Corona decides to meet with Valgerdur Lisa, the program director at the only midwifery school in Iceland, to discuss her chances of getting in. She explains to the program director that she was accepted to an Ivy League school in America for midwifery. But she decided to move to Iceland to be with her partner instead.

The 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way castmate finds out that to apply for midwifery, she must have a Bachelor of Nursing and a nursing license in Iceland. She must also speak and read the language because the courses are in Icelandic.
Corona explains that the research she did said the lectures were in English. So, she thought going to school there was something she could do immediately. So, she says the program director is “ripping my dreams apart.” She tries hard not to “burst out in tears” right in front of her.
Will 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way Celeb Give up on Midwife Dream?
Corona then finds out that the interview process will also be in Icelandic. She admits she has been studying the language for about a year, but she is nowhere near fluent in it. So, she wonders if she could take Icelandic courses while attending the midwifery program. Valgerdur Lisa thinks it might be challenging for her.
However, the 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way celeb also finds out that she missed the application deadline by two weeks. So, she would have to wait another year to apply. Yet, if she needs to take extra courses to learn the language, the process could take up to two years.
Corona feels that the best-case scenario is her worst-case scenario. She is feeling shaky and rocky about her future in Iceland. She doesn’t know how happy she’ll be staying in the country if she can’t be a midwife.
